Bruce was born in Ogden in March 1955 and still proudly calls it home. His childhood was “ok,” though he admits he was a rebellious kid who joined the Navy before finishing high school. After losing his job six months ago, rising rents and the lack of affordable housing left him without stable shelter. With help from the Nomad Alliance—through a longtime team member who is also his son—he briefly secured an inexpensive room in West Valley until the city shut it down. A lifelong construction worker, mechanic, and jack of all trades, Bruce even repaired the Nomad Alliance truck essentially for the cost of parts after it was damaged. Soft-spoken and selfless, he lives by the golden rule: treat others as you want to be treated.
"Treat others as you want to be treated."
