A proud single dad to two amazing daughters, Tanashious (17) and Jocelyn (14), Nutty's life has been a journey of resilience, challenges, and triumphs. After nearly twenty years of navigating incarceration, homelessness, and addiction, he has learned invaluable lessons about gratitude and empathy. Nutty believes that overcoming these hardships has given him a unique perspective on life, reminding him that no matter how tough things get, there’s always someone facing greater struggles.

His journey began in a challenging environment, where he often felt like the black sheep of his family. Growing up with a background of incarceration, Nutty spent a significant portion of his life behind bars. Initially, he viewed being locked up as a badge of honor, but that perspective changed drastically once he entered the California prison system. It was there that he truly experienced the harsh realities of life behind bars, becoming institutionalized as time passed. The experience was a wake-up call that forced him to confront the consequences of his choices.

Nutty became a father during this tumultuous period, and while the mother of his children was a significant part of their lives, her tragic passing from an overdose left a profound impact on the family. Navigating life as a single dad has been challenging, but it has also fueled his determination to create a safe and loving environment for Tanashious and Jocelyn.

Now sober and committed to personal growth, Nutty is eager to continue his education in graphic design and business. He hopes to return to college soon to finish his degree, driven by a desire to build a better future for himself and his daughters.

In his free time, Nutty indulges in his passions: snowboarding—particularly in Park City, working out, writing hip-hop music, and collecting tattoos. Music serves as a powerful outlet for self-expression, allowing him to share his story and connect with others through his art.

Nutty enjoys engaging in intelligent conversations and is open to new connections. From his past experiences, including a challenging upbringing and much of his life spent incarcerated, he has emerged with a newfound perspective on life, determined to make a positive impact for himself and his family. With a heart full of hope and a commitment to his daughters, Nutty is ready to embrace the future.

Nutty's autobiography, in his own words

Well it all started when I was a kid. The black sheep of the much realer family.and my history isn't extensive as most people's. I come from a background of incarceration. I've spent almost my whole life behind bars. I don't know what happens  to me that put me there but there I was. Institutionalized and not giving a damn. I wanted to make a name for myself. At first I didnt care that I was locked up. I thought it was cool for some reason. Man how wrong I was.  I was a part of the system now and I had to go with the flow. Juvenile detention wasn't an eye opener for me and it wasn't until I got to the California prison system that everything changed. It became LOCK-UP for reals.

Slowly over time I became institutionalized. Being locked up became my second home.,I have 2 kids 17, and 14. They had a mom at one point I'm time but she od'd.  It's been hard on us because she was a big part of our lives and now she's just gone.

I moved to Utah years ago now and the reason I moved out here was because I had 2 strikes against me and one more would have gotten me 25-Life. Why Utah? I have no damn clue . I had my first girl at the age of 21.the next one soon after that one..

I'm glad I had kids when I did because at the times of my incarceration all I wanted were kids I didn't know if I would be too late but I did and I'm so grateful. They gave me meaning to life.

I bought a house 3 cars had a damn good job and then everything went haywire for me. Again!!  Something inside of me just let loose. Now I'm back in the jail system.

“Pray for peace, prepare for war.”
