Those of you who have been here for years May remember Kent used to live at the youth camp across from VOA. Kent sent a Facebook message to us late on a Friday night, that he thought his appendicitis had burst. Nomad Alliance was able to send our medic in an Uber to pick Kent up and take him to St Marks to get treatment. This was a further trip than the LDS and U of  U hospitals, but necessary to ensure decent care for a nomad.

Kent is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and identifies as Pan. He always knew he was HIV+ and he’s open about Kseniya sharing this story and it’s on his bio with his permission, but he never did anything about it til the hospital tested him and connected him to services antivirals etc. He didn't have appendicitis but an ulcer, though he was just in his early 20s. He’s currently housed, has received new dental implants, and is shopping around for a modeling agency to sign him! He has now joined the Nomad Alliance tribe and serves the people he used to sleep next to.
