PUSH, MINI-DOC ABOUT BLUE BUS MOBILE SHELTER RELEASED ON 3.25, 7PM, AT BREWVIES

PRESS RELEASE

RELEASE DATE:

3-25-2024

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, MARCH — The Nomad Alliance and Tiny Giant Pictures invites the media and public to a screening of a short documentary on the last three days of the infamous Blue Bus renovation and mobile shelter launch at the Dance for Justice to commemorate Megan Mohn, today, Monday March 25th at 7pm at Brewvies in Salt Lake City.

The Blue Bus is in its second season operating as the country’s first mobile shelter. Over 30 people came together over the course of mere weeks to do a year’s worth of renovations, donating their skills, tools and time to assure those with the least among us had a safe and warm space to go this winter.

The bus has WiFi, charging, endless hot water for hot chocolate and coffee, three meals a day, lockers and more.

Please join us for the screening of the story behind this monumental and historic effort, followed by a Q&A with the Director Mario DeAngelis, nomads, our Blue Bus nomad managers, and leadership team.

The event is free, but we urge attendees to please donate to the Nomad Alliance, a registered 501(c)3, so we can continue operating the 24/7 Blue Bus warming shelter through the rest of winter, bring it out as a mobile cooling WiFi cafe this summer, and continue to showcase the best talent in Utah playing from the roof of the Blue Bus during every monthly nomad supply drive, bringing dance and music to people who could never afford it.

The Blue Bus will be in the Brewvies parking lot beginning at 6pm for the media and public to see the miracle themselves and talk to the managers and nomads for whom this has been a life-saving sanctuary.
