**Blog Post Summary: Milestone Achievements in Empowering the Unsheltered Community with IDs and Voting Rights**
The Nomad Alliance has achieved monumental progress in helping Utah’s unsheltered community secure essential IDs and exercise their voting rights. Last Thursday alone, we provided 38 ID vouchers, transported 14 people to the DMV, and witnessed multiple individuals—some for the first time in decades—obtain critical identification. This included vital records requests for those lacking documentation since the 1990s. Four more unsheltered friends also made their voices heard by voting, affirming the power of this transformative initiative.
This effort didn’t stop with IDs and voting. We distributed 50 boxed lunches, hundreds of pairs of Bombas socks, hand sanitizer, and candle stoves, thanks to our generous donors and partners. Through this all-day, 12-hour outreach, nearly 40 individuals are now on the path to greater opportunities, equipped with the identification they need to apply for benefits, housing, and employment.
As we continue this essential work, we are covering limited fees for licenses and vital records, but we need community support to help even more people gain access to life-changing documentation. Donations are crucial for funding these licenses and out-of-state birth certificates, which help individuals improve their circumstances.

Looking to volunteer? We’ll be holding our mass DMV and voter registration drive tomorrow and throughout the week. If you’re available to help transport individuals to the DMV and voting sites, please reach out. Together, we’re creating real change, one ID, one vote, and one individual at a time.
